I’ve dj’d with Nigel a couple of times, and I have always respected his taste in music. In fact, he is the person who turned me on to Bola. And for a little while now, he’s been teasing me with his original music. I once managed to get a CD with a couple of his tracks on it from him, the “UFO” disc it was called, since he had written the tracks for his buddy’s film or art project or something. They were good, but I knew he had something more up his sleeve.
On July 5th, I was pleasantly surprised to find him playing at the ‘All Fucking Good’ mini-music fest at the dive of all dives, Uncle Lou’s. I was there to check out A_Scissors, but seeing Nigel on the bill was a big bonus,like spotting a steaming gravy boat on the table next to a home cooked meal.
Gar was also in attendance, and in true form brought his video camera and his projector, and captured a little video mayhem. Here are the results:
