What Would Jesus Buy?
A new film produced by Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me, 30 Days). The film Santa doesn’t want you to see.
I’m going to see it just to see what Rev. Billy and his Stop Shopping Choir will do next.
The Dogg is back
A new album from Snoop Dogg coming out in March sees him trying something a bit different than we’re used to seeing from him. And this campy video actually does more to legitimize this song than he probably realizes. Its like a seventies sandblast with a touch of west coast g-funk.
God save Snoop Dogg!
Alive 2007
The usually critical, Pitchfork says:
Playing like a flawlessly sequenced and paced greatest hits album, this live set finds Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo connecting the booms among their three albums while officially cementing one of the year’s most rewarding and welcomed comebacks.
Here’s hoping its as good as they say. I like Daft Punk, but only because of their hits (and that infectious Stardust side project). A greatest hists album, played live, sounds right up my alley. Other live sets of theirs that I’ve had the pleasure of listening to (I’ve not had the opportunity to see them live yet) had them blowing up - big time. I hope this album delivers the same kind of energy. I’ll be picking this one up soon.
