a rare groove mix recorded live at the peacock room on december 31st, 2003. this mix takes a romp through old classics, new funk, and soul grooves in a 45 minute tour de funk’n force. performed live as a part of the nophi new year’s eve party.
After the first ezRPM showcase, I was asked to fill the last closing minutes with more music. Drunk, I took to the stage for this sloppy hard core mix. I liked where this mix was going, and had I not been intoxicated, it might have been pulled off slightly better that what you hear here. Over All its still pretty solid.
When the PUSH nights died, a new weekly IDM showcase was born. This mix was prepared and recorded live at the first Egyptian Zombie Robot Party Machine event, that took place at the Back Booth in Orlando, FL. It draws upon the Tek Hop series of mixes that I did in 2002 (here and here), and extends the premise and pushes it forward, far into the end of this genre. Includes tracks by Original Hamsta, Machine Drum, Prefuse 73, Kid 606, and Richard Cheese — to name a few.
This is an ambient mix I did for my Aunt Vickie. This was a part of a christmas present I put together for her, that included bubble bath stuff, a bottle of wine, and this CD. The mix was timed to be the perfect length for a hot relaxing soak. I suggest you download this, burn it to CD, get yourself a bottle of wine, and do the same.
