New Music Search Engine

Using Google’s newly launched, Custom Search Engine app, I created a new search engine dedicated to music. Billed as The Music Search Engine For People Who Like Their Dance Intelligent, Their Music Weird, and Their Circuits Bent - this search engine first searches the list of 60+ sites (and growing) that I have entered into its index, and then the greater web at large to serve back the results of your query. Of course the searches are speedy and accurate thanks to sharing the same algorithms Google is known for. Try it out for yourself, here.

So far the list of sites include artist sites, gear manufactures, software developers, record labels, and music news sites. If you’re interested in helping grow the list of sites, get in touch so I can send you an invite. You can also sign up at the search engine’s homepage, which is made easier if you already have a google/gmail account to log-in with.

It’s called the repe4t engine, named after a mailing list of artists, musicians and geeks that I belong to and help moderate. You should join.

Try a search out for yourself, and tell me how you like it:
