Yay! Now give me my press pass. Check out the determinations handed down from Federal Election Commission (FEC).
So what does this mean? It means bloggers are protected under the same free speech laws that traditional media outlets are. But we already knew that, right? These decisions were aimed at political blogs/bloggers during the upcoming ‘08 election season, but I think that this will also have a greater affect on the legitimacy of citizen journalism and blogging on the national level.
